Artist Background
Gardens, sculptures, landscapes, architecture, and travel are the main subjects for my photography. My personal perennial garden and lotus pond provided ample images during the initial year as a photographic artist.
I focused on the lotus flower, which is elegant at every stage of development. The first leaves emerge on the surface of the water, followed by an upright leaf and the bud. The flower blooms in July and August in New York State, ending in the magnificent lotus pod that is an endless source for craft and flower arranging projects.
That focus has since expanded to a wide range of flower subjects, in addition to landscapes, architecture and travel. I take digital images and then manipulate them with software to produce photo-montages that are printed with archival ink on artist paper, canvas, or satin. This process is also termed giclee printing. The term “giclee print” indicates an elevated level of print technology that provides better color accuracy than more common color ink printers.
The galleries on this website include lotus montages; flower montages from many gardens and travels; flower and Buddha montages; nature photography with non-manipulated images of plants, animals, and landscapes; transparency studies that adjust the opacity of the layers of two superimposed photographs; travel photographs (Egypt, Costa Rica, China, Arizona, and Paris); Cornell University buildings and sculptures; surrealistic montages; and black and white images. The images on the site are only a sample of those on file. I also work on consignment to produce desired prints.
You can contact me for any requests and we can discuss your artistic interests.
Commentary by Nancy
In addition to artistic photography printed on paper, canvas, or satin, I feel that my montages would be excellent for several textile projects. I found a company that will print my photographic montages on silk. My images can be found on the Artist Page Three at the following website

I have started a blog for discussing my artwork, which includes copper and cement sculptures, ceramics, and photographic montages. Please join my blog and add your comments.
